Applied Movement Neurology

Published in Touch Therapies

Applied Movement Neurology (AMN) is a newly devised paradigm in energy medicine which fuses together aspects of modern science and ancient healing techniques to bring a fully integrated approach to healing pain and disease states.

The human body is the most highly complex and integrated system in the known universe that uses electrical charges, fields and chemicals to maintain a balance of functions. These functions are governed by the brain which acts as a master computer and knows exactly what is going on at any given time. Therefore if part of the system breaks down it needs to be looked at from this level.

You might say an AMN practitioner is like an engineer for the brain. We look for the systems, pathways or tissues that are dysfunctional by utilising touch and manual muscle testing. We then re-establish bioelectrical balance which allows the body rapidly to heal itself.

If you’re suffering from chronic pain or a bad postural alignment, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia, or even something more complex such as an autoimmune condition, AMN might help. It has also been used successfully to treat stroke and migraine, and in work with MS and Parkinson’s.
