This class usually runs 10.30am-12.30pm on a Saturday morning, but on this date runs twice, from 11-11.50am, as part of our open day. All welcome.
Our Buddhism in the City class has a focus on applying Buddhist teachings and practices to everyday life in the contemporary urban environment. Themes are explored organically over many weeks taking into account the experiences and questions of those attending each week. The usual format is to start with meditation followed by Dharma teaching, discussion and spontaneous happenings, ending with another short meditation.
Open to anyone who has a basic understanding of Buddhism (eg from an Introduction to Buddhism course), and has learnt to meditate.
Usually Sudurjaya or Yashobodhi
