Cultivating wisdom and compassion sitting quietly on a cushion is all very well. But how do we do it in the midst of our lives in the world, taking our practice into action?

To inform and inspire us, this afternoon event offers presentations highlighting two particular, real examples of compassionate action in practice. Conversations following each presentation will give us the opportunity to dream up our own unique ‘Buddha Fields’ of practice in the world, sparked off by the presentations.

This event is part of Buddhist Action Month – a festival of Buddhist social action across the UK and including all Buddhist denominations.
