From hatred into love – courses starting in the next week

Transforming our emotional life is one of the most important – and perhaps most difficult – aspects of Buddhist practice.  Intellectual understanding matters.  Outward action matters.  But the emotions in our hearts and minds, particularly our intentions, are a powerful force that shapes our experience of life, the effect we have on others, and, ultimately, our own character.

Two six week courses starting in the next week at WLBC address this territory directly, from complementary angles:

Meditation: Going Deeper – Beyond loving kindness
Six Thursdays 9 November – 14 December 8-9.45pm

Buddhism: Going Deeper – Working with difficult emotions: a Buddhist approach
Six Wednesdays 8 November – 13 December 7.30-9.15pm

They’re both intended for people with some basic knowledge of Buddhism or meditation (see webpages for details); but there’s also an introductory meditation course, open to all, which touches on the same ground:
