Be True to Your Heart: Easter Weekend Online Retreat
- Fri Apr 2nd 2021
- 7:00 pm
- 8:30 pm
- Booking required
- £30 registration fee, plus £60 suggested donation
Being true to your heart isn’t just about doing what you want. It’s listening closely to what is truly kind, truly ethical, truly freeing. It’s also listening to our heart’s calling and living our lives in line with our deepest values.
Bodhilila and Maitripushpa will use these lines from the Chinese Buddhist monk Zhiyi (538-97CE) to explore what this means for each of us – and start putting it into practice.
Do not cheat the Buddha
Do not betray your heart
Do not deceive living beings
The retreat will include meditation, talks, reflection, discussion groups, mantra chanting and ritual. It will start with a session from 7-8.30pm on Friday night and then the following three days will keep to the same schedule with sessions at 8-9am, 10.30am-12.30pm and 4-5.30pm.
Please register for this event via EventBrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/be-true-to-your-heart-easter-weekend-online-retreat-tickets-144401503785
Please note that the £30 registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. After the course you will be invited to make a further voluntary contribution towards the event. The suggested donation for this event is £60, but please treat this as a guide to help you and offer what you can above or below that figure. We appreciate your support.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event via Zoom, and again at least 48 hours before the start date. You will need to scroll down to the end of your email to see these, especially on a mobile.
We have bursary places available if you need a little more support right now and can’t manage the registration fee. We’d love to have you join us. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org
