Meditation has been proven to have many beneficial effects on our health and wellbeing, including reducing stress, increasing emotional resilience and helping us to respond more creatively to challenges and difficult experiences. Meditation offers a way to resource ourselves and to become more grounded and calm while developing kindness and care towards others and ourselves. It is more than a tool or technique, and practising meditation over time can help us to transform our hearts and minds and to bring more freedom and joy into our lives.
There will be four meditation practices taught on this course: the Body Scan, the Mindfulness of Breathing, the Metta Bhavana (a kindness and compassion practice) and Just Sitting. As well as exploring underlying principles and approaches to meditation, there will be guidance on posture and on setting up and maintaining a meditation practice. The course will include opportunities to practise together and to learn from shared experience.
This is a course for anyone who wants to learn to meditate or for anyone who has learned to meditate but would like a more thorough foundation for their practice. Learn to resource yourself and to become more grounded and calm, while developing kindness and care towards others and yourself.

The suggested donation for this event is £60, but please treat this as a guide to help you and offer what you can above or below that figure. We appreciate your support.
