This is an online course that will run on six Wedesndayas from 8 September to 13 October, 7-9.30pm.
The Pali language verses of the Tiratana Vandana are chanted by Buddhists the world over. They are a powerful expression of turning the mind and heart towards the Three Jewels – the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha. The verses list key qualities of the Three Jewels as a prelude to a personal declaration of commitment. The Buddha himself commended the content of the verses as supportive of the goal of Awakening. Join us for an exploration of this ancient chant as we orientate towards the primary values of the Dharma life.
Over the six weeks of this course we will explore the ancient text that makes up the Tiratana Vandana, through study, meditation and ritual.
