A meditation and mindfulness workshop for those new to meditation. The focus is on bringing awareness to the sensations of our breathing body and the flow of the breath. This awareness helps us become more grounded in our moment to moment experience and helps our minds to calm.

A meditation and mindfulness workshop for those new to meditation with a focus on bringing awareness to the sensations of our breathing body. Bringing awareness to the body helps us become more grounded, more centred and less caught up in our thoughts. Bringing awareness to the flow of the breath helps our minds to settle and calm, while developing awareness of our moment by moment experience. The more present we are in the moment, the less our minds are busy thinking about the past or worrying about the future. 

During the workshop we will learn two simple meditations, the Body Scan and the Mindfulness of Breathing. Mindfulness of the body and breath are the foundations of all meditation practise as well as being very effective meditation practices in themselves.
