Join the WLBC team: 3 part-time posts

Published on Feb 24th 2025, in News, by Amalavajra

Some key volunteers – Sahananda, Jeffery and Maitripushpa – have all given their time generously over the past years (and decades) but would like to take a breather.

So we need three inspired and skilled people who live in or near London to take on two day / 14 hours p.w. roles in marketing, fundraising and finance.

We work as teams of friends animated by the Bodhisattva spirit to offer a transformative, graduated path of Triratna training. Would you like to join us? Or might you forward this email to a friend?

Marketing Manager: create effective communications that increase attendance by newcomers and Friends at WLBC classes, courses and retreats, as well as encourage regulars to deepen their engagement with our path of training. Download the Job Application here.

Fundraising Manager: develop and implement a fundraising strategy that increases regular giving, cultivates relationships with major donors, and optimises fundraising efforts through classes, events, and digital campaigns. Download the Job Application here.

These two jobs could be joined into a single four day p.w. role for the right person

Finance Officer: support Tejamati as Finance Director in keeping accurate and timely financial records of all the Centre’s financial activities.  Download the Job Application here.

You may be in a position to volunteer. If not, we will support you financially as you need up to a maximum of: the London Real Living Wage of £13.85ph, plus potential needs-based supplement, 5% employer pension contributions, £1,700 retreat allowance and 40 days paid leave (incl. bank holidays), pro rata.

Location: flexible combination of remote work and on-site presence at the WLBC.

Please email your application (from the above links) to Amalavajra, the WLBC Chair.

Application deadline is Friday 28th February, for interviews in the weeks commencing 10th or 17th March.

P.S. Hiring three people is a stretch for the WLBC finances as you can imagine, even with our modest pay levels. If you are not in a position to work with us, how about dedicating a day a month of your work – financially and spiritually – to the centre, as well as other Triratna Dharma projects you care about?
