Boscobel String Quartet plays Schubert, Mozart & Beethoven

Saturday, January 26th at 7:00pm - 9:30pm

Composed of freelance professionals who both tour the world and contribute to some of London's leading orchestras and ensembles, the Boscobel Quartet has close links to WLBC and its concerts here are always popular. This concert is dedicated to the memory of Jinananda, a much loved teacher and friend at WLBC for many years until his death in December 2017.

VIOLET – a dramatisation in music and words of the life of Violet Gordon Woodhouse

Saturday, May 4th at 7:00pm - 9:30pm

with Maggie Cole playing harpsicord music by J S Bach, Couperin, Scarlatti, Purcell and Mozart; Chloe Pirrie and Hugo Bolton (actors). This unusual dramatisation - part solo harpsichord recital, part evocation in words - tells the story of one of the 20th century's most exotic and strikingly individual musical talents: Violet Gordon Woodhouse. Maggie Cole's previous recitals at WLBC have been very popular, so advance booking is particularly recommended for this event.
