The Way of Truth: People of Colour Day Retreat

Published in Calendar for all events, Meditation Events, Sangha Events

  • Sun Dec 1st 2024
  • 10:30 am
  • 4:30 pm
  • Booking required
  • £45/£20/by donation

Open to all people of colour, both newcomers and regulars.

We will be teaching two key meditation practices and exploring the Dhammapada. This is one of the very earliest collection of the Buddha’s teachings which contains pithy and direct teachings on the way to Enlightenment. We will particularly be focusing on the lines:

‘Do no harm. Practise what is good. Discipline the mind.’

These encapsulate the whole of the Buddha’s teaching and give us all we need to make progress along the path to awakening.

There will be opportunities to explore the theme together, reflecting on how it can transform our everyday life, as well as deepening our experience through meditation, ritual and connection.

Please bring a vegetarian/vegan lunch to share.

Booking is welcome to all, whether payment is possible or not.
