Fancy a 6-week break from your home (expenses covered)?
Karuna Trust, a charity inspired by Buddhist values, is looking for a community space for their southwest London door-knocking appeal team this coming summer.
Would you consider going on a 6-week holiday or retreat, knowing that your home and its outgoings would be covered whilst you’re away? Or perhaps you might consider moving in with a friend or partner during this time? Alternatively, do you know someone who might have a property to rent or be willing to offer a space?
Karuna does have a budget for renting a property but it would support Karuna even more if we could reduce our outgoings in London.
Here’s what they need:
- Dates: 25th July – 7th September 2025 (inclusive)
- Size: 3 Bedrooms
- 1 room required for shrine
- Budget: £4400 to cover the whole period
(We will have your house professionally cleaned at the end of the stay)
Karuna Trust works alongside some of the most excluded communities in South Asia, supporting locally-led projects focused on gender equality, education and sustainable livelihoods.
Appeals are a precious opportunity to combine spiritual practice with meaningful action. A 4-person appeal can raise around £80,000, which can have a huge impact. Some of our projects only require around £25,000 per year, yet they influence thousands of people’s lives.
